Connie Snow was born Connie Belle on a tea plantation on the island of Java, Indonesia. When the communists took power, Connie and her parents and siblings emigrated to The Netherlands, where she grew up in a family that retained their Indonesian cooking tradition.

In 1977, Connie married Alan (Irish/UK) and became a ‘Snow-Belle’! They have two children, Fiona and Martin, and one granddaughter, Rosie.

Cooking was always Connie’s passion, although by profession she became a Chiropodist/Podiatrist and ran a successful practice in The Netherlands for 20 years.
Connie and Alan have lived and cooked together in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and England, before retiring to Table View in 2013, where they now live with their two dogs Tinka and Lucy.

Every month or so, Connie hosts an Indonesian Cooking Workshop, either at their home in Table View, or at nearby hotels and wine farms. She is also available as a ‘guest cook’ to prepare an Indonesian meal for private dinners.
